Location is excellent, very near to the station which the Airport city bus starts and terminates at. Just a 5 min walk to hotel no need for a taxi from the station. Trams run very close to hotel for access to the city and just a 5 min walk to the river where you can find restaurants, walkways etc. Hotel itself was very modern, rooms are a good size with a huge comfortable bed. We were not troubled by any noise from other rooms or the corridors as you often get in hotels. We had breakfast at the hotel which was good value, plenty of choice to cater for all . We ate one evening in the hotel restaurant, as it was on 25 floor we had great views of the city at night and a great meal too. We found the restaurant prices to be no more expensive than local restaurants too. The staff were very helpful and polite, always making us feel comfortable. I used the pool too, which was lovely and warm. We would definitely use the hotel again should we revisit Melbourne.

The Hyatt Centric is the cooler younger sibling of the Hyatt properties. It's fresh and airy with a more minimalistic aesthetic. The rooms have floorboards which give them a nice fresh feel, the bench which functions as a sheet and luggage rack is a great use of space. The bathroom is well-appointed, with a decent sized shower and solid water pressure. The hand-held shower head feature wins over a rain show head everytime for sure. Bathroom products and amenities are from Mr Smith and smell great. The lobby area offers a nice area to sit and chill away from the room and there is also a barista serving up coffees. Located between Flinders Street and Flinders Lane, it's about 200m from Southern Cross Station and the tram line is about 100m from the hotel.

The room was a good size and clean with a comfy bed. Room service cheese platter was great. I didn't use the pool but it looked really nice and was a decent size. The restaurant/bar up on the 25th floor had great views. The buffet breakfast was lovely but as expected. Customer service was helpful and friendly. Location is not in the hustle and bustle of the city but very close to Southern Cross Station, Marvel Stadium, Exhibition Centre (MCEC), aquarium and Crown. Subsidised parking a short 5 min walk away. Plenty of transport options close by.

David

Staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful. Location is close to Southern Cross so easily accessible to transport and amenities, including the Skybus terminal. Room is comfortable and modern, views of the city were pleasant. Indoor pool was much appreciated by our son. Breakfast was ample and varied, and the view from the top floor is a fantastic way to begin each day. Didn't make use of the gym however it adequate for a workout away from home.

Great location for a weekend in Melbourne. We got it for a good rate for two nights and loved our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant on the 25th floor was cool for a buffet breakfast and we enjoyed the pool / very well appointed gym. Also the room had a casting system to the TV that actually worked, which isn't always a guarantee!
